Another song was "Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition" by Frank Loesser
This tune swept the nation, and it sold over 2 million records and 1 million copies of sheet music. The Office of War Information restricted its performance over the airwaves to once every four hours. The lines "praise the lord and pass the ammunition, and we'll all stay free!" was a line against Communism, to have faith in the government and the Lord and the country will stay safe. It was influenced Americans everywhere, encouraging them to have faith in God and in the United States of America as the war raged on. This song really showed the patriotism of the United States and how music can be used to shape the minds of citizens.
